This is a Clearnet Mike installation on Bloor,
between
Fieldgate and Havenwood in Mississauga. There are no PCS
antennas on this building, since the PCS went on
a lower building just down the street (see next photo).

This PCS site is just west of the Mike location shown
in the above photograph. Clearnet wanted a lower

This is the GPS antenna on the side of the site at
Eglinton & Highway 403. ALL Clearnet PCS
sites have one of these GPS antennas, so look for them when making a determination of site type.

receivers, the middle one contains the power supply, and the right hand
one contains the battery backup.

This is
typical of a Clearnet PCS site. Instead of using a small
room to house the equipment, it uses three or four small
cabinets like these.

This is a monopole installation at the QEW & highway 427. Note the Fido tower in the distance (bottom edge of the photo).
This tower contains both "Mike" antennas (at the top) and PCS antennas (lower down). This site is located at Highways 401 and 410 in Mississauga.
This is another lowrise site at the corner of Highway 403 & Eglinton in Mississauga. This is the picture I used for the background on most of my web pages.
There are actually three sites here, and the Clearnet one is the hardest to see. If you look close, you can see two antennas on the top of the center protrusion. This is a medical building on the southeast corner of Eglinton & Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga (just outside Credit Valley Hospital).
This array of antennas is actually a full Clearnet site, located on the southeast corner of Yonge & Bloor in Toronto. The strange image in the upper-left is a reflection from my car's windshield. |
