Privacy Policy - Last updated on 05-Arp-2021
What information do we collect?
While tracking your ride, or receiving turn-by-turn directions, the app
continuously collects your current location. However, this information is not
transmitted from your phone, and in the case tracking a ride, is stored only in
local form as KML and GPX files that only you have access to. Access
authorization to your RideWithGPS account is used only to log into that account
to directly download routes for turn-by-turn directions. This data is not
transmitted from the phone other than as required to log into the RideWithGPS
service.
Usage of location data
Location data is used two ways: 1) To generate a GPX file that shows your precise location every second during your bike ride. 2) It is used to generate spoken directions that guide you on a planned route.
How do we protect your
information?
No data is ever transmitted by Bike Tracker, and so all location information is
safely stored ONLY in your phone.
Do we use cookies?
We do not use cookies.
Do we disclose any information to
outside parties?
As no data is ever transmitted from your device, it means that PC Ability never
has access to it. We therefore cannot not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer
your location information to outside parties.
